I did not know what to expect as we drove to a place that is called ‘The Devil’s Golf course’ in Death Valley, but when we got there, it all made sense.
It’s a piece of land so crusty that only the devil would want to play golf here! Salt shards are crystallized on the edges of broken dry ground – there are signs warning you that you can break a limb if you fall down here.
The Artist’s drive is a beautiful one way road where the colours of the dunes look like a palette of powdery paint ready for a painter to use.
We went to Zabriskie Point to look out over the Golden Canyons below (by this time it was much cooler). Our last stop was to look at the sunset from Dante’s View Point before going to Las Vegas for the evening.
