I love design! (New Italian Design Exhibition in Santiago)

Not only is the La Moneda Cultural Centre one of the most beautiful spaces that I have been in, for a long time,

it also displays some pretty amazing design furniture and objects.

Luc, our French Architect flatmate and I went to the Cultural Centre to take a look at the New Italian Design Exhibition.  The cool thing about the exhibition was that the objects were on a conveyor belt’ like in a sushi restaurant; so you could stand still while the objects floated past you!

ImageSome objects on display were inventive and quirky, like the toothbrush rings, see-through plastic postcard and the chopstick-fork-things.

Other items fell into the ‘what-on-earth-is-this?’ category.

And then there were things that I just did not see the point of:

A bird dome? It did have holes for air in, at least.

You actually had to pay entrance to the museum, but Luc used his French charm to get us in for free; yes!
