Giant flower in Buenos Aires

If you walk in Buenos Aires, close to the Recoletta area, you might come across a gigantic metal flower!  This sculpture is designed by the architect Eduardo Catalano.  It used to open its petals at sunrise and close at sunset, but the mechanism doesn’t function at the moment.

The sculpture named, Floralis Generica is located in the Plaza de las Naciones Unicas, a nice plark to relax in after visiting the National Bellas Artes Museum close by.
